This PRN will be scheduled at our Ft Wright ENT physician office located at 1955 Dixie Highway, Suite E1, Ft. Wright, KY 41011 To assess auditory function and habilitate hearing loss. To act as a resource for patients, families, physicians, staff and the community. Assess the Auditory Function of Patients 1. Select and apply appropriate assessment tools. 2. Interpret test results 3. Document results and recommendations. 4. Communicate results and recommendations to the patient and referring physician. Consult with Patients to Enhance Hearing Capabilities 1. Recommend and fit hearing aids and assistive listening devices as appropriate. 2. Provide hearing aid maintenance and repair. 3. Maintain appropriate documentation. 4. Manage the purchase of devices and supplies. 5. Maintain accounts with vendors. 6. Provide communication as requested. Manage the Revenue Cycle for the Audiology Center 1. Schedule patient appointments 2. Assist in registration by communicating with appropriate registration staff 3. Enter charges and ensure daily charges are complete and accurate. 4. Collect payments per policy. Banking and Cash Safeguarding 1. Manage deposits per policy 2. Maintain petty cash in secure location. 3. Maintain appropriate financial files. 4. Communicate with Patient Financial Services as needed. Office Management 1. Maintain a safe and clean environment 2. Ensure adherence to infection control policies. Equipment Management 1. Coordinate annual calibration. 2. Maintain equipment safety. 3. Work with clinical engineering and vendors to complete repairs and maintenance. 4. Assist Director in purchasing. 5. Maintain supplies. Communication 1. Assist Director in development and implementation of marketing and education plan. 2. Provide education to patients, families, the community, staff and physicians as requested. Performance Improvement 1. Develop and implement a performance improvement plan 2. Communicate results and recommendations to designated persons. Coordinate Hospital Newborn Hearing Screening Program 1. Assure compliance with state guidelines 2. Assist in training and competency evaluation of Audiology Aides. 3. Communicate with Ohio Department of Health infant hearing program coordinator as needed. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: EDUCATION: Master’s, Ph.D or Au.D. in Audiology YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 in clinical setting REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Full knowledge in audiological assessment, hearing aid and assistive device assessment, fitting, sale and management. Knowledge of state and federal regulations, coding, billing and documentation requirements. Knowledge and skills in office management, purchasing and revenue cycle management. Skills in customer service, education and presentation. LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: Active Ohio License in Audiology
