Position Overview: As an Electrical Panel Installer at Gecko Enterprises, you will play a crucial role in our construction process. You will be responsible for the basic installation of electrical panels on our new construction residential projects while adhering to all safety and quality guidelines. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to producing quality work will be essential to our shared success. Responsibilities: Panel Installation : Provide electric panels for early connection of electrical power according to customer needs. Install panels by: Digging a hole to specified dimensions using company-provided tools (jackhammer, shovel). Placing the legs of the panel into the hole and drilling it to the form boards. Filling the hole with concrete for proper alignment and support. Cleaning the work area before moving to the next installation. Some panels may require: Installation of ground rods and wire. Basic installation requires: Mounting panels to form boards or framing of customer's new construction residential home. Tools needed: jackhammer, shovel, water, bucket, drills, bits, screws. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of panels taken from the yard, panels that have been installed, and any errors or problems that may have occurred. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to create a secure working environment and prevent accidents. Tool Maintenance : Properly care for and maintain installation tools and equipment to ensure their longevity and reliability. Teamwork : Collaborate with team members, including assemblers/techs, management, and other installer(s), to troubleshoot and solve problems and improve the installation process. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Proven experience as an electrical panel installer in new construction or in a similar role. - Proficiency or willingness to learn in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions. - Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work - Communication skills with fellow team members and customers. - Basic knowledge of electrical safety procedures and regulations. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. - Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods. - Manual dexterity for precise handwork Work Environment: This position primarily involves working at construction sites, often in various weather conditions and environments. The role will require lifting heavy objects, working at heights with heavy equipment (approx. 35lbs). Personal protective equipment (PPE) and specialty equipment/tools will be provided, and adherence to safety protocols is essential to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
