Hourly rate based on the experience and licensure level. The Outpatient Clinician shall possess a minimum of residency, with licensure preferred, status through the Department of Health Professions. The OP Clinician shall have experience working with children and adults with SMI/conduct/and trauma backgrounds, understanding of diagnostic formulations and assessment, providing psychotherapy and treatment planning, and an understanding of the child welfare system in Virginia. They must possess the ability to represent HopeTree Family Services in the community in accordance to the organizational mission and values, and have the ability to function as part of a team. Job Requirements The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job. Education and Experience: · Master’s degree in Human or Behavioral Health related Services; Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: · Licensed Mental Health Professional with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals or other clinician licensure strongly preferred and/or · Residency status with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals as a resident in counseling or supervisee in social work · Specializations and/or certificates in trauma, experiential therapy, etc. preferred · Clinical supervision designation by DHP preferred Other Skills and Abilities: · Demonstrate the ability and willingness to accept feedback - and adapt their own behavior in response to feedback. · Ability to work with a culturally diverse population. · Willingness to work with mandated and/or challenging populations · Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms. Job Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below. · Is trauma informed and is knowledgeable about common mental health diagnosis · Demonstrates working knowledge and clinical historian for all cases mental health treatment · Conducts intake assessments in accordance to agency processes · Provides individual, group, and family therapy as assigned and consistently meets utilization expectations · Conducts crisis screenings/threat assessments when warranted · Provides on-call crisis response on a rotating basis · Handles crisis situations and interventions appropriately. Including following procedures for Serious Incident Reporting · Follows policy regarding notification of guardians or emergency on-call clinical staff when needed · Attends and participates in supervision, program meetings, treatment teams, and youth staffing as needed · Documentation is professional, timely, thorough, complete, and provides adequate detail · Completes client treatment plans, monthly reports, and/or authorizations in conjunction with TGH Social Worker/HTA Social Worker when applicable. · Attends community partnership meetings as necessary for client treatment. · Reads, understands, and implements licensure standards and HTFS policy. · Responsible for understanding and oversight of clinical requirements for regulatory bodies such as CARF, QRTP, DBHDS, DMAS, and other EBP · Is dependable and performs duties independently. · Completes required trainings on-time.
