Title: Office Services Specialist: Western Regional Office #00400 State Role Title: Admin & Office Spec II Hiring Range: $33,415 - $44,528 Pay Band: 2 Agency: Dept of Corr - Central Admin Location: Western Regional Office Agency Website: www.vadoc.virginia.gov Recruitment Type: State Employee Only - E Job Duties Provides administrative, fiscal, and technical support for the Regional Managers through good customer skills, proficient filing of all documents, good secretarial and computer skills. Maintains filing, processes mail, completes vouchers, and utilizes eVA for ordering items needed for the office. Purchasing using the P-Card (Visa) log and processing invoices for payment. Makes Hotel reservations for office staff as required. Supports the regional office in regard to computer equipment and maintenance of that equipment. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with concentration in business principles, office practices, filing, work processing, computers and office machines. Experience in purchasing, computers, bookkeeping, and financial information in a multi-priority operation. Knowledge of Purchase and Supply/Commonwealth Accounting policies and procedures. The ability to operate/utilize computer system and other basic office machines. The ability to perform detailed work with numerical data. Strong organization, communication, writing and keyboarding skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Experience in PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and Word. Additional Considerations Experience working in a correctional setting and with bookkeeping, computer and office equipment. Knowledge of DOC policies and procedures.
