Job Description
Description The Training Manager assists the Plant Manager in all administrative functions. This individual is responsible to train staff and to ensure associates are continuously growing and learning and ensuring training databases, metrics and documentation are accurate. This individual is responsible to lead and develop the training team.
Highlights of your role
• Successfully manage training-related projects of all sizes/scope through all stages of the project life cycle.
• Work with identified subject matter expert in development and deployment of training for process/equipment implementation or changes.
• Identify and drive new project opportunities, with a primary focus on Operations that positively impact associate growth and learning.
• Collaborate with applicable team members at Roanoke Essential to provide support and promote consistency across the facility for training-related projects and initiatives.
• Maintain appropriate communication with project team members and keep team leadership informed of project goals, current status and vision.
• Research, plan, organize and conduct training programs, seminars and conferences for clerical, supervisory, technical, and lower-level management personnel.
• Write material for new training programs; review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs, and recommend appropriate changes.
• Support the administration of and evaluate training program qualification tests. Provide guidelines to determine eligibility of prospective attendees.
• Direct the assessment of training documents to ensure they are current to our processes; support the writing and submission of revisions as needed.
• Research new training techniques and suggest enhancements to existing training programs.
• Design and maintain cross training matrix
• Prepare training budget for department or organization.
• Evaluate needs of company and plan training programs accordingly.
• Evaluate training coordinators' performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Responsible for new employee orientation development, implementation and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop training staff in support of all training activities.
You're a good fit if you have
• Bachelor's degree and/or an equivalent work experience is required.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills are required
• Must be able to perform core duties with minimal direction/supervision
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Necessary soft skills include effective problem solving, organizational abilities, multi-tasking abilities, relationship building/interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and effective communications (verbally and written)
