We are one of the fastest growing consumer-packaged goods (CPG) producers and ZYN is the number one selling nicotine pouch in the US. In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking a ZYN Maintenance Supervisor, 2nd shift for the Owensboro, KY manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the ZYN packing maintenance as follows:
• Analyzes area of responsibility & makes recommendations for most efficient utilization of materials, labor & equipment.
• Responsible for the scheduling, performance and effective utilization of all maintenance personnel assigned to ZYN.
• Directs, motivates & coordinates activities of assigned employees to achieve max productivity & attainment of department goals.
• Execute the production schedule minimizing direct and indirect labor and optimizing machine utilization.
• Assure employees are properly instructed & trained in their work & that safe working habits are established & maintained.
• Maintain inventory & safe storage of all maintenance commodities located in area of responsibility.  Maintain or establish efficient practices in the storage of all materials.
• Responsible for the training, discipline, evaluation of ability and skill level upgrading of all maintenance personnel assigned to his department.  Conducts periodic reviews with each assigned mechanic.
• Responsible for all maintenance work and the mechanical condition and performance of all machinery in his/her departments.
• Assists in the development of new machinery & integration of machinery into the production process.
• Utilize new technology and proven systems to decrease process variation and enhance departmental performance.
• Promotes and maintains good attendance, maintains payroll, performance progress, and absentee/disciplinary records for assigned personnel.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and for promoting & maintaining safe work habits and practices for assigned employees.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and spend time on each shift as needed.
• Maintain complete and accurate knowledge of contractual obligations with the Union and conduct manufacturing operations with proper regard for Company/Union relations and their impact on business.
• Monitors performance and condition of machinery and schedules preventive maintenance and/or repair to achieve maximum productivity from all equipment. Monitors availability of spare parts and ensures the overhaul and availability of machine assemblies, as needed.
• Cooperates with and/or assists other Packing Maintenance Supervisors as needed, to achieve maximum productivity from all packing equipment and processes.
Requirements

Education: Vocational school graduate or comparable work experience required.
Experience: Minimum of five years factory mechanical/electrical experience required.
Candidate should possess the following:
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
• Ability to schedule work, train others, monitor competency and progress of subordinates and take corrective action when necessary.
• Detail oriented and organized
• Proficient computer skills
• Proficient knowledge of and self-motivated in maintenance and reliability techniques
• Proficient knowledge and experience managing maintenance through CMMS
• Knowledge of machinery, troubleshooting and machine repair is essential, including electrical and programming issues.
• Must have a hands-on work ethic
• Must have a strong Continuous Improvement approach and background
OTHER:
• Must take the Nocti Test for evaluation.
• Must understand and interpret the current labor contract as it pertains to all personnel.
• Prolonged periods standing/walking on concrete.
• Lifting up to 50lbs.
• Travel 10% or less.
• 2nd shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm
