Position Title: Operations Manager
Department: Management
Reporting To: Plant Manager
Position Mission:
· This position has the task of coordinating and controlling the production, maintenance and engineering activities of the site, ensuring the achievement of production and quality targets.
Position Main Responsibilities: They are responsible for the industrial management utilizing the support of shift supervisors, maintenance technicians, engineers and production technicians and related to the following activities -
• Prepare the annual industrial budget, provide information to management regarding the budget for equipment, software and hardware purchases/installation and maintenance spare parts
• Defines the production capacity and the expected consumptions for each type of product
• Tests the feasibility of the production plan in order to ensure the correct and qualified staff availability on the production lines
• Daily checks the progress of production respect to planned
• Solves faults in production through involvement of local departments (quality assurance and supply chain)
• Checks, directly and through the shift supervisors, the correct execution of tasks by the operators: manufacturing and control phases, Total Productive Maintenance and Manufacturing Process Inspection interventions, compilation of control charts, recording of production progress and management of traceability data
• Ensures the correct management of materials in production, distribution and storage to the line
• Ensures the safety and health of operators and ensures the compliance of internal procedures, in according to the requirements of IATF 16949, with corporate environmental policies in accordance with the directives of Health, Safety, Environment
• Engineer
• Promotes the improvement of organization (environment and working conditions) and production process (review of work practices) through the coordination of the “Employee organization Specialist”
• Improves the efficiency in production in collaboration with the Engineering Dept. Manages and develops the personnel of their department
• Collaborates to the definition of Production’s Dept. Budget and prepares periodic reports about trend of costs in the department
• Contributing to, developing, and setting priorities for eliminating or preventing product safety-relevant defects in the product development phase (error prevention)
• Working independently, initiating and verifying product, process, and engineering-relevant decisions in the course of product development and additional product enhancement (e.g. FMEA or risk assessment procedures) provided that there is an impact relevant to safety
• Preparing, maintaining, and enhancing “lessons learned” checklists for the qualified review of designs, production, processes, or for the material properties under product-safety relevant aspects
• Executing or initiating and assessing component or material analyses with the goal of detecting indications of deviations relevant to product safety at an early stage
• Independently executing or initiating regular inspections of processes, production, material, and products of the current series for the confirmation of product safety for proper and predictable use or misuse and the introduction as well as tracking of (immediate) measures in the case of relevant deviations
• Assessing the probability and frequency of failure of the affected product in the event of failure
• In the event of a complaint, the planned remedial measures, their implementation and long-term effectiveness shall be verified. The effectiveness of the measures shall be reviewed, confirmed, and documented in writing by the supplier PSB
• In the event of a complaint or voluntary declaration, communication shall be directed via the person responsible for component QA with the client (QA purchased parts organization or QA product engineering)

Education required:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical Engineer, automation, or related discipline or above
Experiences required:
• 5 – 8 years managerial responsibility on production environment
• Main principles of ISO IATF, automotive production process and process technology
• Product and process Quality: CPK, CMK, APQP, PPAP, SMED, 8D Report
• Knowledge of process control (MPI), Statistical process Control (SPC), maintenance system (TPM and PM) and of plastics, copper wire and metallic parts
• SAP
