Front End Loader

General Description
Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcars: Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader. Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material. Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives vehicle to work site, and moves levers to dump material. Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
Duties / Responsibilities
• Maintain the stockyard to include pushing piles when stock arrives, notify management when stock is needed.
• Keep bins stocked with material while asphalt plant is running.
• Perform daily inspection of vehicle at plant
• Inspection will include (but not limited to) keeping fluids at normal operating level, keeping autogreaser full of grease, keeping odd grease fittings greased and filters clean and changed when needed.
• At times there will be physical labor such as shoveling, long periods of sitting/standing.
• Other related duties
• Helping to clean around plant
• Helping to maintain/repair when needed.
Essential Functions

• The ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away from you, or to judge the distance between you and an object.
• The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
• The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
• The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
• The ability to time your movements or the movement of a piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object or scene.
Qualifications
