2024-2025 Percussion Instructor - Cave Spring High School
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Must be experienced working with marching bands and drumlines.
• Experience in composing/arranging music for front ensemble and battery percussion groupings.
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions.
• Proven ability to carry an assignment to its completion.
• Demonstrated success in accomplishing tasks associated with the duties and responsibilities listed below.
• Able to attend after school rehearsals and events.
Responsibilities
• The marching band percussion instructor will work with the Director or Bands, be a team player with instructional staff members and students to ensure a positive experience for students and successful public performances.
• These efforts will be accomplished through after-school rehearsals, weekend events and performance events.
• The percussion instructor shall enforce and adhere to the policies, rules and guidelines of Roanoke County Public Schools and the band program to which they are associated.
• Attend all rehearsals during the course of the season.
• Attend all competitions, home football games and other public appearances as needed by the Director of Bands Employment Type: ["OTHER"]
