```Job Summary:
We are seeking a Member Services Representative to join our team at Roanoke Valley Community Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with our members. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle financial transactions accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Assist members with account inquiries, transactions, and problem resolution
- Process loan applications and provide guidance on loan origination and processing
- Perform cash handling duties, including deposits, withdrawals, and balancing cash drawers
- Utilize retail math and basic math skills to accurately process financial transactions
- Provide fraud prevention detection by monitoring member accounts for suspicious activity
- Maintain knowledge of bank products and services to effectively cross-sell to members
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members to enhance member satisfaction and loyalty
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Proficient in retail math and basic math calculations
- Knowledge of loan origination and loan processing procedures
- Familiarity with banking operations, including debits, credits, and cash handling
- Ability to detect and prevent fraudulent activity within member accounts
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Relationship management skills to build rapport with members
