PLEASE READ THE JOB DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY!
City Dogs Boarding & Playcare has an immediate need for RELIABLE, ON-TIME, ATTENTIVE kennel attendants to join our team!
Work hours are variable. Our normal shifts are 6:00 - 1 and 1 - 7:30-ish during weekdays and 8:30 - 5-ish on weekends.
It is imperative that anyone who applies for this job is not afraid to hustle, work hard, SHOW-UP, and show up on time. Must be friendly, DEPENDABLE, attentive, honest, and willing to follow direction. Must be highly attentive to the dogs at all times and learn their escalation behaviors in order to circumvent any altercations.
We're looking for dog passionate people who LOVE DOGS! We prefer candidates to have prior experience with dogs in a dog boarding facility or a veterinary hospital but are willing to train someone motivated and eager to learn.
CELL PHONE USE WHILE SUPERVISING DOGS OR INTERACTING WITH CUSTOMERS IS PROHIBITED AND CAN BE CAUSE FOR IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL!
This is a wonderful opportunity to work with great staff members in a fun environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Attendants will supervise dogs at play and keep them safe.
• Will play with the dogs.
• Must not be afraid of stepping in to break up a fight if necessary.
• Will clean up after dogs to keep facility smelling fresh. This includes scooping poop, mopping, disinfecting, and sanitizing.
• Will make sure all dogs have water at all times.
• Will learn dogs names and which playgroups and other dogs they play best with.
• Will lead dogs to their assigned rooms at the end of the day.
• Requires standing and being on your feet most of your shift.
• Must follow all safety rules.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a love for Dogs... and their People!!
• Prior pet care experience is a plus.
• Responsible, RELIABLE, with a positive, FRIENDLY, can-do attitude.
• Desire to provide the absolute best experience to our guests and their owners.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
• Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team atmosphere.
• PLEASE NOTE: ALL jobs at City Dogs require quite a bit of facility management and janitorial duties. We all clean and keep our facility sanitized, looking and smelling clean.
• Knowing how to bathe dogs and trim nails is a definite plus!
