Role:
Assist members with loan application process and responsible for processing mortgage loans. Researches, compiles and inputs information necessary to assist in the accuracy of final documentation. Reviews approved mortgage loans to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
50% Responsible for processing mortgage loans. Reviews residential loan application files and supporting documents to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
20% Review approved mortgage loan to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing are satisfied.
20% Works directly with Underwriters, members, loan officers and the title company taking a proactive approach to avoid delays in the closing.
10% Contacts insurance agents, credit bureau and employer to verify accuracy of information.
Performance Measurements:
1. Must comply with government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry including, but not limited to, OFAC and the Bank Secrecy Act. Meets or exceeds performance expectations as described in Essential Functions and Responsibilities. Please refer to Annual Performance Goal document for remaining Performance Measurements.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Skill and ability to use and operate a keyboard (typewriter), computer, calculator, fax machine, copier and telephone. Skill and ability to read and understand financial statements, contracts, applications, computer printouts, manuals and other related materials. Must have the skill and ability to use Microsoft Word Adobe Acrobat, FoxIt and Excel.

Work Environment: Work is performed indoors in an office environment with normal potential for exposure to safety and health hazards. May periodically travel to other, similar sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
