Responsibilities of the Role
As an Associate Dentist in this practice, you will be responsible for conducting routine and advanced dental procedures tailored to patients' oral health needs and aesthetic preferences. Your duties will include developing comprehensive treatment plans, maintaining accurate patient records, and supervising both technical and administrative staff. In addition to providing high-quality care, effective communication and strict adherence to health and safety standards are key components of this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnosing and treating various oral health issues after thorough examinations
• Utilizing X-rays and imaging technology to aid in treatment planning
• Performing a range of dental procedures including cleanings, extractions, fillings, and cosmetic treatments
• Administering local anesthesia when necessary
• Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Conducting oral cancer screenings and prescribing medications as needed
• Ensuring proper sterilization of instruments and equipment
• Taking impressions for custom mouth guards and dentures
Qualifications And Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree, along with a valid state license and CPR certification. Previous experience in a dental setting, proficiency in using dental instruments, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. Excellent communication skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are also desired qualities in a successful candidate.
