Full job description

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our 24/7 residential unit, providing crucial care and support to our clients.
• Shift: 7:30 pm to 8:00 am
• Work Schedule: 3 days a week & every other weekends; Holidays
• The training sessions will take place during daytime, and once you finish, you will shift to the night schedule.

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will:
• Assist clients with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Monitor and document client behaviors with precision and accuracy.
• Plan and lead therapeutic recreation for groups.
• Collaborate with clinical staff on special projects.
• Conduct individual and group activities.
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients and the treatment team.
Essential Duties:
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
• Maintain a compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
• Observe, document, and report patient behavior to the appropriate clinician.
• Monitor patient activities and behaviors, promptly reporting any changes to the assigned nurse.
• Provide crisis intervention and employ supportive communication techniques.
What you will bring?
• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in a healthcare, business, or related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences highly desirable.
• CDCA certification preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present information to various audiences.
• Knowledge of DSM IV diagnoses.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to perform various tasks, including sitting, walking, balancing, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
