Full job description
Responsible for providing secretarial and general office duties. Works closely with the Instrument Repair Manager and Instrument Specialists to facilitate repairs and ordering of instrumentation and equipment.

RESPONSIBILE FOR EMPLOYEE FILES AND INFORMATION:
• Maintains personnel files for Sterile Processing staff. Prepares file folders for new employees.
• Maintains and updates job descriptions.
• Maintains listing of assigned lockers for SPD staff.
• Maintains confidentiality.
PERFORMS CLERICAL SUPPORT FUNCTIONS:
• Typing/filing/general secretarial duties. Keep calendars for all standing meetings. Schedules meetings.
• Types memos, policies and procedures, minutes, and additional correspondence.
• Types, photocopies, files, faxes, emails, and distributes materials generated by the Director and Manager.
• Files paperwork accurately.
• Researches and compiles reports as needed.
• Maintains meeting and sign in sheets.
RESPONSIBLE FOR REPORTS AND DATA COLLECTION:
• Collects data per instructions.
• Develops and types spreadsheets for data collection.
• Tracks trends and reports significant changes.
• Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
• Enters statistical data and prepares reports as required.
ORDERS INSTRUMENTATION, OFFICE SUPPLIES, AND MAINTAINS EQUIPMENT REPAIRS:
• Uses Oracle, orders, files and tracks the status of placed orders for SPD. Tracks backorders and notifies the requestor of the status.
• Maintains and orders office supplies and break room supplies as needed.
• Documents and returns equipment in need of repair or replacement.
• Maintains records of repairs of Department equipment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates proficiency in excel and word computer programs. Cooperative and willing to assist others. Attentive to detail and accurate. Well organized and work independently.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:1 year of office experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Good typing skills (40 wpm). Able to use telephone, fax machine, and photocopier. Able to perform basic math skills. PC software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Excellent organization, communication, composition, and interpersonal skills
