Full job description
Personal Care Assistant
Duties:
- Provide personal care services to individuals in their homes or residential facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document medication administration
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living spaces
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in client's condition to appropriate personnel
Experience:
- Previous experience in home care or direct support is preferred
- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care principles
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist clients with mobility needs
- Experience in behavior management and dementia care is desirable
