Job Summary
The Sr. Manager, Project System Engineering leads a power system engineering team responsible for sizing, design, and validation of power generation projects. This position is responsible to ensure that customer projects are designed to meet target deliverables such as timelines, budget, performance, and commercial competitiveness. Responsible for project engineering and validation of projects in the Americas.
Job Functions (Essential)
• Lead a team of design and application engineers responsible for power generation solutions design
• Manage design project timelines, deliverables, and costs
• Ensure product performance meets customer’s expectations
• Provide support to sales and project management
• Develop and improve engineering processes related to product development
• Work with global engineering team to improve global design and validation procedures
• Provide direction for global engineering support teams based in remote locations
• Work with R&D engineering in the development of sustainable customer solutions
• Champion continuous improvement of quality and productivity
• Develop and validate standardized product offerings for large Data Center
• Provide guidance for new product development projects
• Oversee selection of major components utilized in projects
• Conduct validation and sign off on system components
• Monitor commercial competitiveness of NPI solutions for the Americas
• Work with sales and Project Management to capture new product ideas and concepts
• Develop and maintain local product validation test procedures
• Ensure accuracy of mechanical BOM’s
• Assign, direct, and evaluate employees work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
• Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, enforcing rules and policies and perform budget planning and monitoring activities.
• Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.

Qualifications
Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 5 years of development, design, or application engineering experience for power generation solutions; or 9 years of development, design or application engineering experience for power generation solutions.
• Excellent experience with customer project design and engineering
• Excellent ability to understand complex customer requirements and translate into technical solutions
• Strong experience in leading multi-functional engineering teams
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent organizational, planning and follow-up skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A high attention to detail
• Excellent knowledge of RICE (Diesel and Gas)
• Excellent knowledge of electrical principles like AC and DC
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Preferred:
• Experience with MTU products
• Experience with Creo
• Basic knowledge of fuel cells and BESS products
