Full job description
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennel areas, including cages, floors, and common areas
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing animals
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by the veterinarian or supervisor
- Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects, such as bags of food or large dogs (up to 50 pounds)
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Experience working with animals preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Note: This position may require working on weekends or holidays based on the needs of the kennel.
