Job Duties and Responsibilities
Summary :
The Material Handler is a key member of the Alpek team. The Materials Handler will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.
Duties and Responsibilities
( The essential functions include, but are not limited to)
• Follow all applicable plant rules, maintenance and safety rules
• Responsible for transporting material as directed using a forklift and clamp truck
• Complete production records
• Responsible for housekeeping within the entire sorting area. This includes heavy sweeping and shoveling debris off the floor
• Responsible for reporting all necessary maintenance repair items and safety concerns to the Supervisor
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully the individual must have the following or equivalent:
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Forklift Certification
• Must have a positive attitude and team player with coworkers and Shift Team Leader
• Must follow safety procedures, quality procedures, good manufacturing procedures, and good maintenance procedures
• Must be able to handle extreme weather environments (heat, cold, humidity)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
