Kraven Solutions, Inc. is a Leading Electronic Systems Integrator in Southwest Virginia.
We specialize in turn-key electronic solutions in High-End Residential to Light Commercial. Our Focus is to provide technology solutions that simplify the lives of our clients.
The Lead Service Technician is a person who works with Project / Service Manager to oversee and install wiring, cable, components, and devices for low-voltage electronics (including security systems, camera systems, access control, networking, and cabling). The technician will be responsible for management and implementation of projects assigned. This will include installation of equipment, cabling, cabling labels, connectors, racking hardware, racks, networks, programming, and other items as they relate to Kraven Solutions, Inc. The position is very hands on and will involve installing and programming systems in residential and commercial applications.
Lead Service Technician Job Duties
· Provide quality control of site work and / or shop work.
· Participate in the following processes - system design, project documentation, troubleshooting of all systems throughout installation process, and finally client hand off / training.
· Ability to install alarm systems, sensors, control systems, speakers, displays, racks, switches, routers, waps, surge protection, mounting of equipment, signal terminations and labeling.
· Testing & training clients.
· Participate in staff and company meetings.
· Communicate with client representatives and other involved contractors along with Kraven’s staff.
· Update documentation / files of all communications with Project Manager regarding progress of job, anticipated changes from initial estimates, signoffs, and approval from owner for change orders.
· Follow troubleshooting guidelines and refer to technical/parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose & repair equipment or systems.
· Maintain accurate truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
· Partner with sales to grow and protect the service segment of our business.
· Contribute to formal project personnel performance evaluations and reviews at the conclusion of each engagement for all Kraven’s staff and selected subcontractors when appropriate.
Lead Service Technician Requirements
· 2 years of experience installing and servicing Security Systems “Wired & Wireless”, Camera Systems and Access Control Systems.
· Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 - 100lbs.
· Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
· Strong work ethic, deadline driven, detail oriented, show up to work on time, positive attitude, always prepared.
· Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Ability to Obtain DCJS Registration or currently have one.
· Ability to Obtain Alarm.com Certification.
· Ability to Obtain A+ or Network + Certification or have one.
The following would be a plus:
· Experience with electrical work.
· Experience Installing Phone Systems PBX or VoIP.
· General knowledge of construction process and reading building plans.
· Carpentry Skills.
