Full job description
We manufacture premier trailers, such as Open, Enclosed, Equipment and Racing Trailers, just to name a few. We have been a staple in Rocky Mount for many years and we have a global reach with our product. As Production Manager, you will oversee our Open Trailer Production Lines. Please take a look at the qualifications we are looking for. You may not meet them all but you’ll need to meet most. We are looking for someone that is tired of having “a job.” We want someone looking for a career, someone that wants to make a difference and can bring experience to the table as well as be an innovator and grow with our Company. If you know that is you, take a look at what we are looking for and submit your resume for immediate and careful consideration.
• Must be a natural leader, someone that can commands respect as well as giving it and have the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Must be familiar with Production work, to include Piece Work and have a good understanding how the manufacturing process works.
• Must be well organized
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be able to effectively lead and manage while adhering to our No Fraternization Policy.
• Must be able to work under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining the high standards we strive for.
• Must be able to make confident, effective decisions.
• Must be able to think on your feet and have the ability to perform tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be a visionary, someone that can “see” what we want to accomplish and how to implement and execute those plans.
• Must take ownership in every decision that you make, good or bad, without shifting blame to someone else and have the ability to recognize other ideas from subordinates or other members of Management.
• Must have Attention to Detail mentality. Someone that can recognize when something doesn’t “look right” or something that doesn’t pass our High Standards for Quality.
• Must be able to take constructive criticism and have the ability to make those changes while maintaining a positive mental attitude.
• Must be creative and transparent. We want someone that is honest and “real.” Someone that knows it’s ok to be vulnerable while still maintaining your focus and integrity.
• Must be willing to get down and dirty. If you want a desk job, keep looking, this career is for real players in the perspective field(s) we are looking for. You will get dirty but you will have gone home knowing you have made a difference.
• Must understand accountability and be held to it as well as holding others accountable.
• Must be able to delegate without micromanaging but still have the ability to follow up and see that tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.
• Must be a confident, team player that understands you do not have all the answers and you aren’t always right but stands by your decisions and ideas and have the ability to adjust that thought process should the time come.
• Must have a background in welding and fabrication. Carpentry experience would be a plus. To lead a team of top-notch welders and fabricators, we ask that you can do the same.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. Most of your work will be done indoors but moving from building to building will happen and we have to manage and maintain production no matter the weather.
• Must be able to stand on feet most of the day and be able to move, push, pull or lift up to 100 pounds, assisted or unassisted. Lifting this amount of weight isn’t a daily occurrence but you should be prepared if the need arises.
If you think you are right person for this career and would like to be considered, please submit your resume immediately.
