We have a unique opportunity for an IT professional to be challenged in a multi-functional role of Systems Administrator/Developer. The ideal candidate will have a skillset that spans from administration/configuration of systems to software design and development. However, if you’re an expert in one area, with an eagerness to learn about other IT roles, you could be a great fit. In this role, your ability to support systems and maintain servers will be crucial to keeping the plant fully operational, allowing us to produce the highest quality product possible.

Ideal Qualities
To be considered for this role, here are the skills we are looking for:
• The understanding that IT is a service provided to help others
• You enjoy flexibility and a “no day is ever the same” type work environment
• 3-5 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in IT or a related field
• The ability to positively interact with a diverse set of end-users and coworkers through problem explanations and solution feedback
• Effective project management skills that help you execute a project from start to finish
• Knowledge of, and experience with, Active Directory, Storage Area Networks, Windows, Linux, and VMWare
• Experience in shell scripting/programming languages and application maintenance
• The desire to work as part of team, leveraging everyone’s strengths to increase your skills

Job Responsibilities
As the Systems Administrator/Developer, you will work collaboratively with the entire IT team on various assignments. Your projects will be ever-changing, but will include:
• Understanding Active Directory and its required services
• Supporting and maintaining various VMware implementations
• Set up and continuous support of email, security, telephone, paging, UPS, and other systems
• Learning factory-specific applications such as Alpha Plant Lab software, MeasureX, Profilometer, and having a willingness to adapt as programs change and upgrade
• Configuration of newly installed business programs like office products, group policies, Networks, and switches
• Database programming in Oracle, PL/Sql or other languages used to product forms, reports, or Web applications like APEX
• Providing support and maintenance to network design, configuration, and implementation
• Interaction with other company department project leaders on requirements, timetables, and policies
• Working with development specialists on writing software enhancements
• Full support of Linux and Windows servers and operating systems
• Designing, creating, modifying, testing, and implementing forms and reports objects
• Supporting storage and backup subsystems (RAID and SAN)
