Description
The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Washington and Lee University invites applications for a part-time Chinese Instructor position to begin in late August 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year, with the possibility of renewal based on funding and performance. This position carries a 4-course teaching load distributed over Fall and Winter terms (12 weeks each). Responsibilities include teaching Chinese language at all levels and active involvement with departmental activities.

Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Chinese language, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, linguistics or related fields; native or near-native fluency in both Chinese and English; demonstrated excellence in teaching Chinese at the college level.
