As a Lead Service Valet, you will work in conjunction with the District Manager and assist with managing the total service delivery for the district’s apartment communities.  This includes providing direction and oversight for the part time associates (Service Valets) within the assigned district.Pay range: $20 per hourMileage reimbursement programWork schedule: Sunday - Thursday nights after 7pmEssential job duties include:Deliver on our “every door every night” business expectation and set the standard in delighting our residentsAssist District Manager with training associates (Service Valets)Spot check associates (Service Valets), focusing on safety, quality control and productivityCollect same night missed trash, walk/track problem propertiesCommunicate with District Manager concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, and other maintenance problemsProvide waste and recycling collection coverage for understaffed properties within an assigned districtDocument and report all property and resident non-complianceProvide oversight of the nightly collection process during District Manager days offAssist with evening recruiting efforts – may include referral generation and flyer distributionProvide candidates with a realistic job preview from the associate (Service Valet) perspectiveAssist with presentations during team meetingsAssist the District Manager with coordinating work schedules, evaluating job performance and motivating associates (Service Valets)Provide leadership for the associates (Service Valets) in the areas of safety and trainingQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent.  AA degree preferredCustomer service and prior people management experience preferredGreat verbal and written communication fundamentalsSmart phone with data plan requiredOpen bed pick-up truck or trailer to transport trash items from door to compactor (may not be required in all areas)Flexibility to work split schedule and/or be on call during irregular hours depending on business needsPhysical Requirements and Special Conditions of Employment:This position requires that you can lift and/or carry up to of 50lbs, walk distances of the property including up/down stairs, bend at waist and/or knees and lift arms at/over shoulderAbility to work outdoors and be exposed to hot and cold temperaturesAbility to work outdoors, and drive in changing weather conditionsAbility to operate a motor vehicle and drive locally to other properties as neededAre you a current Valet Living employee?
