The purpose of this position is to provide delivery of assistive services as purchased on each individual Independent Living Residents Plan and as directed per the Director Independent Living.This includes; but is not limited to, maintaining the residents room in a tidy, orderly condition with respect to the individual residents rights and preferences, serving resident meals and nourishments, collecting meal trays at end of meal, providing medication reminders as well as meal, denture, bathing reminders as indicated, and completing any required documentation. Reporting unusual occurrences for each resident to the Independent Living Director and assisting with other tasks as assigned.
1.Consistently model and demonstrate excellence in customer service, with a constant focus on person-centered care/services delivery.
2.Delivers non-direct care tasks as described on each residents plan and as directed per standards.
3.Maintains the residents rooms in a tidy, orderly condition with respect to residents individual rights and preferences.
4.Assists with taking meal orders and serving meals as needed.
5.Provide medication reminders.
6.Carry keys, cell phone and pager and respond to resident calls as needed.
7.Provide denture reminders.
8.Performs walking rounds and safety checks on all Residents.
9.Cleaning and security duties as assigned by shift.
10.Provides meals reminders.
11.Assists with working at Reception Desk to relieve Receptionist for their breaks.
12.Stand by assist supervision for showers as indicated.
13.Laundry (Residents personals as well as linens and towels as indicated).
14.Change bed sheets, make bed as indicated.
15.Completes all tasks as directed.
16.Reports any unusual occurrences (incidents), signs, symptoms, complaints or observations of the resident to the Director Independent Living.
17.Documents as required per facility policy; including, but not limited to:
Residents non-direct care delivery
18.Reports any allegation of abuse, neglect, exploitation or misappropriation per facility policy.
19.Follows the policies and procedures of the facility.
20.Assists with the orientation of new employees as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply principles of customer service. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Demonstrates the ability to utilize appropriate judgement. Ability to communicate well through speech, written word and body language to denote approval or displeasure. Ability to summarize and synthesize information and communicate the message to others. Ability to foster teamwork.
