SPEECH/LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (2 needed - full time)
District
2024-2025 School Year
SUMMARY : Under general supervision, provides remedial activities for students who exhibit speech and language disorders.  Reports to the Director of Special Education.
DUTIES/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Develops and utilizes Individualized Educational Plans to provide instruction to students.
• Provides speech and language experiences and carry-over activities within the classroom.
• Collaborates, plans, develops, and provides language enriched lessons based upon classroom teacher input.
• Confers with classroom teacher(s) and psychologist regarding referred students.
• Participates as a member of the multi-factored evaluation team.
• Distributes forms to teachers that are necessary for the referral process.
• Formulates, schedules and/or participates in an IEP conference with parents, teachers and administrators and assists in developing goals and objectives.
• Sends permission to evaluate forms to parents regarding possible evaluations
• Prepares copies of all necessary due process forms for the county office, central office, school files, teacher files and parent files.
• Organizes and maintains confidential files on each student.
• Attends school wide conferences with parents and conducts phone conferences with parents.
• Performs hearing screenings and/or evaluations for all referred students.
• Provides oral peripheral evaluations for all referred students.
• Makes referrals to medical doctors when necessary for voice, hearing, etc.
• Prepares and sends home progress reports for each grading period.
• Conducts hearing, speech, and language screenings per supervisor direction.
• Prepares beginning and year end reports for supervisor.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
• Maintains required license(s) and/or certificates.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS :
1.      Valid Ohio School Speech Language Pathologist certificate/license with appropriate endorsements.
2.      Valid Ohio Driver License
3.      Must pass criminal background check.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT • Effective Date:  2024-2025 School Year
• Length of Employment:  One Year Limited Contract;
• Salary and Fringe Benefits:  Based on the current negotiated agreement.
