This role involves leading the development of a hyperconverged, multitenant private cloud hosting environment, aimed at supporting a range of strategic applications. You will be at the forefront of deploying a comprehensive suite of VMware products to create an innovative Software Defined Data Center (SDDC).Job Responsibilities:- Lead the development and maintenance of a state-of-the-art cloud architecture.- Provide expert technical oversight and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring compliance with the project's architectural vision.- Champion automation and DevOps processes to streamline operations.- Embed cybersecurity best practices into the architecture, ensuring robust compliance.- Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and analysis of hosting platform issues.- Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to translate high-level objectives into actionable technical plans.- Drive improvements in security, scalability, manageability, and performance across network, storage, and compute services.Required Skills:- Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570.01-M IA Tech Level II certification.- Relevant computing environment certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire).- Proven experience in enterprise-level architecture.- Expertise in automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.- Proficiency in troubleshooting across a full technology stack.- Familiarity with DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM) is advantageous.Why Join Us?- Lead a significant cloud project that is set to transform and modernize critical applications.- Work in an environment where innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration are highly valued.- Opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement in a dynamic and supportive setting.- Competitive compensation and benefits package.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
