Fort Thomas animal hospital is a 4 veterinarian, small animal and exotic pet practice that has been caring for patients for over 30 years. We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our unique team at our animal hospital in Fort Thomas, KY. We offer a full line of benefits including health insurance, PTO, and 401K. This is for 32-40 hours/week. The RVT will be responsible for assisting the veterinarian in providing high-quality medical care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the veterinarian in medical procedures and surgeries
• Monitor patients under anesthesia
• Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
• Monitor and record vital signs of patients
• Provide nursing care to patients
• Communicate with clients about their pet's health and treatment plan
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Requirements:
• Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
• Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
