Electrician Helper Needed (Roanoke)

Family-owned electrical business looking for an electrician. Experience preferred but not required, will train the right person. We are looking for someone to join our team who is dependable, motivated, willing to learn, and wanting to excel in the electrical field. We want somebody with a 'can do' attitude.

Responsibilities (required but not limited to):
Installing devices such as receptacles and switches
Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
Run conduit
Troubleshoot motor and control systems
Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
Drilling holes, pulling wire, and terminating electrical equipment
Work in all weather conditions
Work in restricted or confines areas such as switch-gear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics
Kneeling, crawling, and crouching for extended periods
Adhere to all quality and safety codes
Qualifications (required but not limited to):
Previous experience in electrical construction, residential, commercial, and industrial (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals (preferred but not required)
Able to work from all types of ladders and be able to transport/relocate ladders unassisted
Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds without assistance
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Valid Virginia driver's license
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
Ability to work independently as well as a team member
Must have a reliable source of transportation
Must have basic hand tools
Must have composite safety toe shoes

Compensation and Hours
Salary Range: $26,840.00 - $42,331.43 Year DOE (Depends on Experience) Benefits Provided: Holidays, Vacation Other Benefits: Not Available Full or Part Time: Full Time (30 Hours or More) Job Duration: Over 150 Days Type of Job: Regular
