Job Description
AmeriStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Machine Operator to fill an opening with a company that manufactures yarn located in Rocky Mount, VA.
Benefits of the Machine Operator:
* Monday thru Thursday (possibility of working Fridays)
* 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM.
* $14.01/hr
* Sign on bonus after 60 days.
Qualifications for Machine Operator:
* High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
* No previous experience required.
* Must be able to stand, bend, and twist for duration of shift.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
* General machine knowledge is a plus.
* Excellent attendance history.
* Attention to detail and quality.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities for Machine Operator:
* Selectively creels in supply packages.
* Threads positions.
* Ties or splices transfer tails.
* Patrol positions and repair breaks.
* Tuck tails into skeins.
* Monitor skeins through the banding operation.
* Monitor skeins through packaging operation.
* Perform quality checks on bulking, winding, and packaging.
* Stack packages of skeins into boxes.
* Monitor taping machines to assure packages are taped properly.
* Print labels and apply to boxes.
* Stack boxes on pallets for shipment.
* Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.
* Works safely, including use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
* Performs various other job responsibilities as required.
