Associate Materials Planner
Under general supervision the direction of the Senior Materials Planner, this position is responsible for supporting the supply chain department through procurement of assigned materials and monitoring the delivery status of orders.
Major Areas of Accountability
• Utilizes planning tools in E1, VMI and Power BI for daily planning of raw materials as assigned.
• Maintain purchase order records to assure proper receipt and invoicing of materials.
• Monitor delivery status of order, manage date changes.
• Ensure that any delivery or quality issues are resolved with the suppliers, escalating to Corporate Procurement when necessary.
• Update MRP and VMI relevant data as needed.
• Responsible for the follow up on the products on Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
• Participate in daily follow up production meetings.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support projects that impact Supply Chain and Operations.
• Comply with good manufacturing practices, standards, methods, facilities, policies, and procedures by studying relevant QMS documents and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Essential Qualifications
• 0-1 year of related experience in Supply Chain and/or Materials Management.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment.
• ERP experience (Enterprise One preferred).
• Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and implement department procedures
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred.
• APICS or CSCMP affiliation/certification a plus
• Medical Device company experience (or other regulated industry) preferred.

• Self-motivation and a genuine interest in improving processes and internal customer relationships.
• Strong communication skills
• Must work well independently and be adaptable/flexible.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow up on previous work.
• An understanding of the importance of customer focus
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Computer knowledge and good typing skills.
• Knowledge of production planning system (OMP+/ERP/MRP)
• Ability to be dotted line to assist other team members in Supply Chain.
