Salary: $15.56 - $18.00 Hourly Location : Various locations throughout the City, MN Job Type: Seasonal Job Number: 2023-00081 Department: Recreation Services Opening Date: 01/12/2024 Closing Date: Continuous Nature of Work Under general direction of the Farmers Market Coordinator, assists in the setup, supervision and teardown of the Richfield Farmers Market. Oversees the Farmers Market information booth and market token sales. Operates farmers market card machine, completes and records transactions for credit, debit, and EBT/SNAP. 7.5 - 10 weekend hours: Saturday. Farmers Market Cashier(s) will be scheduled to work 2 or more Saturdays per month, May through October. 1 or 2 people will be hired, based on candidate availability. Additional hours may be available as a fill-in, as needed, between 5/4 and 10/26/2024. This is a seasonal position and is therefore temporary in nature. Position ends at the end of the season. New/ rehire seasonal workers will receive a $100 incentive after first pay period. And $100 completion incentive at the end of the season. Job Duties Assists with farmers market event setup, including setup of the farmers market information booth Assists vendors to find their stall location Provides friendly service and information to vendors and market customers Assists with tracking farmers market attendance and contributes information to the daily market report Assists Farmers Market Coordinator with enforcement of market policies as needed Assists Farmers Market Coordinator with volunteer supervision and direction as needed Assists in the preparation and implementation of special events Cares for and maintains equipment, materials and facilities. Performs light maintenance duties as assigned, including but not limited to cleaning picnic tables, bagging organics recycling, and picking up litter around the buildings or grounds.
