The Relationship Banker - Floater, Temporary is responsible for assisting the bank with temporary staffing needs and will float throughout the Roanoke, Salem, Franklin County, and New River Valley branches. This interim role is part time, consisting of a 25 - 28 hour work week and is estimated for the period of January 2024 through May 2024, contingent upon business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Accept and process deposits for checking and savings.
• Cash checks/pay withdrawals from savings accounts.
• Redeem savings bonds.
• Process loan payments.
• Balance cash drawer daily.
• Count, prove and package currency and coin.
• Answer telephone and handle customer inquiries professionally.
• Recognize opportunities to refer prospects to other bank departments and personnel.
• Maintain a positive attitude and respect co-workers.
• Variable Hours Monday-Friday to cover business needs. May be required to work Saturday hours for specific markets. Shifts may begin as early as 7:45am and end as late as 6:30pm, depending on location. Multiple locations may be assigned within a day or week as business needs dictate .
• Must be able to drive and possess a current driver’s license.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Follow all security procedures.
• Follow all bank policies and procedures
• Being proficient with operating the bank computer systems.
• Being proficient in counting currency and coin.
• Deal effectively and tactfully with all types of customers.
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality procedures.
• Being reliable and punctual.
• Required to be a team player.
• Recognize and act upon referral opportunities to help grow the branch base.
• Being professional and courteous to customer to make them feel welcome.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
