How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
The Senior Director of Technology Services Group provides overall leadership for all system integration and analyst services related to inpatient systems, including medical devices, and Carilion financial and administrative systems. Responsible for leading overall administrative functions of the Technology Services Group area including technical planning, Clinical Devices and Frequency Management, full service support for Operating Room Systems, Cardiology Systems, Radiology Systems and Financial and Administrative systems and Printer Services. The Director of Technology Services Group will make strategic recommendations and serve on the executive leadership team of Technology Services Group.
* Provides strategic direction and ensures the implementation of approved TSG service projects occur to support the needs of Carilion Clinic.
* Participates in evaluation of application hospital based medical devices, information systems in general and specifically for operating system technology, PACS, operating room systems, cardiology systems and hospital based PC’s and Printer Services.
* Provides communication and recommendations to Senior Vice President and executive leadership team regarding short and long term initiatives of TSG.
* Supports or leads all system clinical TSG maintenance and implementation activities for on-time, on-budget outcomes.
* Meets or exceeds internal and external client objectives for service and project outcomes. Supports efforts for Carilion Clinic safety and 3rd party inspections.
* Defines and measures, then meets or exceeds quality and productivity targets for TSG and, where appropriate Carilion Clinic.
* Prepares, manages budget and allocates resources for assigned areas within technology services.
* Champions team approach to CE and IT process management.
* Provide coaching to Directors, Managers and staff of TSG for methods and behaviors that can improve their performance. Administers hiring, evaluation, corrective action, of technology services staff when appropriate. Completes employee evaluations on time.
* Serves as a direct contact with multiple vendors and must have expertise in advising, negotiating and maintaining contractual agreements.
* Manages both planned and unplanned downtime events, working within the current change control process.

Additional Information
What We Require: Education: B/S degree in computer-related field, or equivalent education and experience. Masters preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in clinical applications preferred. Requires highest knowledge of technical skills and problem solving abilities. Licensure/Certification: Valid Virginia Driver's License and dependable transportation. Other: Familiar with multiple computer systems, medical devices and imaging system platforms, as well as technical entities and computer programming languages. Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of business practices, positive attitude, self-motivated, ability to work with minimal direction, confident, ability to lead and adapt to change.
