Under minimal direction and according to prescribed procedures leads a team of Warehouse personnel to receive, distribute, assemble, store, and ship raw materials, intermediate products, finished goods, and other supplies in warehouses, vaults or other locations.
Key Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Supervises process of material management of processing materials and warehousing of finished goods. Establishes and implements material management and distribution policies, standards, and practices. Establishes and updates operational procedures and carries out activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments including paperwork, handling and disposition of materials, and performing necessary software system transactions. Establishes outside warehousing for hazardous/non-hazardous and controlled substance materials as required at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
• Prioritizes workloads, monitors and adjusts daily work schedules, and distributes projects to ensure schedules are met. Monitors and conducts training, assists with goal setting, coaches for performance, and completes annual performance review process for warehouse personnel. Coordinate vacation, meetings and absences to ensure adequate resources for warehouse functions. Confers with subordinates to resolve procedural problems.
• Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment to ensure cleanliness, organization and regulatory compliance. Arranges for repairs, replacement of equipment and maintenance of warehouse facilities. Ensures that required safety equipment is available and in good working order. Initiates purchase orders (in Ariba) for required warehousing supplies.
• Keeps track of inventories (raw materials, intermediates and finished products), ensures the material is available when needed and verifies data transactions are accurate and performed timely. Performs physical inventories and cycle counts as the need arises, coordinating activity with Finance. Monitors inventory levels to ensure consistent flow of quality products to manufacturing and inventory movement through FIFO.
• Participates as an active member of various process improvement project teams, investigative teams, and with site group initiatives (e.g. PHAs, RTE, etc.) as they relate to the Warehouse. Represents Material Services during various auditing activities.
• Responsible for leadership of the wastewater treatment plant.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Leads the warehouse operators in carrying out the duties of the department in a safe and compliant manner while applying Credo based leadership principles. The supervisor will manage the team in accordance to Johnson and Johnson polices and procedures.

Education:
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience and Skills:
• 6 years’ work experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar industry that is subject to FDA manufacturing guidelines (including cGMP’s), and heightened environmental and safety regulatory compliance is required.
• 4 yrs. experience as a supervisor/people leader in a manufacturing environment is required, to include the supervisory responsibilities identified above required.
• Experience using computerized inventory management systems, i.e. SAP is required.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with hazardous chemical handling - loading, unloading, sampling, documenting preferred.

• Up to 10% travel may be required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and smell.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds; must be able to work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
