Account Executive
Sell LTL and TL transportation services, along with other services such as warehousing and storage. Develop relationships built on trust to solicit and acquire new sales, increase sales volume, and maintain existing accounts within an assigned region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Increase sales volume by acquiring new accounts and selling additional services to current customers.
• Establish professional working relationships with customers, managers, co-workers, and drivers.
• Provide bi-weekly sales updates at planning meetings with the operations team.
• Travel daily to meet with prospects and/or current customers.
• Perform cold calls and calls by appointment.
• Determine customers’ needs by gathering information needed to prepare rate quotes.
• Maintain records of contacts with prospects and current customers.
• Complete sales reporting to include customer profiles, sales reports, itineraries, mileage reports, and expense reports.
• Entertain customers, as needed.
• Always maintain a professional image.
• Make collection calls for personal accounts past due.
• Complete applicable paperwork in a manner consistent with established company guidelines.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up conversations.
• Utilize company software for various sales functions.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
• High school diploma or GED.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have and must maintain a valid driver’s license.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and internet.
• Working knowledge of multi-line phone system and office machines, such as fax machine and copier.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Three to five years related experience, trucking industry preferred.
