As our Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will provide support to the ORC (Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose) medical device component manufacturing processes under the supervision and mentorship of senior-level engineers and operations management.
Key Responsibilities :
• Support the introduction of new processes and equipment specification by coordinating and performing process startup activities and providing technical coverage.
• Provide day-to-day process engineering support of assigned processes.
• Implement process surveillance programs for process control, yield, cycle time, quality, and cleaning change over.
• Maintain and improve existing site operations by leading root cause problem solving (RCPS) to identify and resolve process and equipment plant downtime.
• Implement cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma techniques.
• Maintain, update, and author vital production, safety, and regulatory documentation such as operating instructions, batch production records, criticality analysis, piping and instrumentation diagrams, key and controlled parameter documents, process and cleaning validation protocols, quality non-conformances, and corrective action plans.
• Apply risk management tools such as FMEA, PHA/LOPA, and business risk evaluations.
• Develop process documentation and maintain training material on processes, materials, and equipment.
• Conduct training for operations and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain knowledge of cGMPs, process safety practices, and environmental standards.
• Work on a multi-discipline team of engineers and contractors to monitor and support project needs, and schedule.
• Review and comment on equipment specifications, and detailed drawings.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced or focused degree preferred in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or other Engineering field
Experience and Skills:
Required:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Proven ability to write effectively, to communicate work prepared, rationalize conclusions and recommendations, and compliantly document for regulatory bodies
• Ability to collaborate within a diverse and inclusive environment
• Proven understanding of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; V-LOOKUPS and pivot tables are helpful
Preferred:
• Industry work experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of Trackwise, SAP, Minitab, and Visio
• Experience with process control systems (e.g., Emerson DeltaV) and data historian software (e.g., OSi PI)
• Experience leading and coordinating multiple project priorities
Other:
• Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
