Be part of Global Planning, Small Molecule API platform, an award-winning Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain team. The Global Material Requirements Planning (MRP) team is responsible for the supply and the production of pharmaceutical products for our patients. The team leads the inventory management of raw materials while optimizing Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) values to outstanding performance for the pharmaceutical industry for the platform.
Position Overview
The Material Requirement Planner is responsible for Material Requirements Planning, co-ordination and execution of all activities related to the planning and procurement of raw materials , converting the output of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the Detailed Schedule (DS) into material requirements to ensure availability of the right quantity of components to the production lines when needed!
Communicating the plan to the different suppliers within the agreed lead times. Be an integral part of a team which optimizes the flow of materials, while considering the plants warehouse capacity and inventory targets in order to eliminate potential disruptions in the storage, storage costs and avoiding material scrap (SLOB) both at site level which rolls up to API Small Molecule Platform Level.
This position holds Detailed Scheduler responsibilities and communicating the DS to Operations, Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) and QC teams, updating process order requirements based on Operations and MSAT feedback, updating monthly and weekly DSS metrics to include Pre-Manufacturing Readiness and Monthly Batch Plan Attainment.
Key Responsibilities
• Development, maintain, publish and communicate Materials Requirements Plans (MRP) and the Detailed Schedule (DS) to ensure that patients and customers requirements are met.
• Maintain inventory levels within our goal, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired materials. Contribute to the global balancing effort of Materials and Components ensuring efficient and effective procurement & inventory practices and optimizing the balance between quality, service, reliability and cost.
• Ensure that all material delivery schedules are communicated to the suppliers on time to meet plan requirements.
• Maintain required Process Orders for production activities across 12-week horizon to enable successful Operations and Project planning.
• Set up a balanced master plan optimizing operations efficiency, inventory cost and reliable supply for the horizon of 0-36 months.
• Partner with Global Procurement and PES to drive Supplier performance improvement including quality and timely delivery.
• Tracks and reports site / platform level supplier service performance, communicating the information to the relevant parties.
• Collaborate with Quality and Warehouse staff regarding rejected / defective materials, making the physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure a timely return of goods or disposal.
• Focuses and encourages continuous improvements (CI) of the process supported!
• Perform Release Planning Activities for the Athens Site; Partner with (QC, QA, Warehouse) to ensure material is shipped on time in full to internal J&J (Innovative Medicine & MedTech) and external customers

Qualifications
Education:
• Minimum Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management or other related Business field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Supply Chain Certification is preferred e.g., APICS.
• Lean Certification is preferred.
Experience:
• 3+ years relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics or Manufacturing) is required.
• Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multi-national environment required.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Biopharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Experience in the use of SAP is preferred.
