Position Overview: ART is currently seeking a protein laboratory technician(s) to join one of our protein production teams. This position is responsible for performing critical tasks in support of our protein purification programs. This proven and qualified candidate will use their experience and knowledge working in laboratory settings to participate, troubleshoot and continuously improve our protein purification operations. Description of responsibilities:
•   Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks in the purification of human and animal native proteins, and other products as required.
•   Assemble, configure, and maintain equipment for use in production processes. Operate equipment, mix chemical solutions, and perform analytical tests as assigned.
•   Maintain logs, batch records, and all applicable documentation, ensuring products are produced in accordance with the production schedule. Set up and operate laboratory equipment.
•   Perform all duties in adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
•   Package and label final products and other duties as assigned.
•   Execute assigned duties with minimal supervisory intervention and instruction.
•   Coach and mentor less experienced team members in production processes.
•   Comply with all safety guidelines.
Experience/Education:
•   Minimum of 3+ years of related experience.
•   Associates Science Degree with experience or Bachelor of Science Degree
Work Environment:
•   Must be able to work with different types of chemicals (acids, bases, solvents, toxic
Chemicals, etc.).
•   Must be able to work with human and animal biological fluids and tissues.
•   Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn when applicable.
•   Prolonged periods of sitting, standing or repetitive tasks may be required at times.
•   Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. at times.
