Genevieve's Bartender
Position Summary
Genevieve’s inside of the Peace Center is searching for a skilled bartender to join the team. We are a 164-seat lounge and restaurant that only operates for patrons of the Peace Center. The expectation of this role is to have the knowledge and skill set to produce classic cocktails in a craft bar setting, while also producing at a high-volume level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Include, But Are Not Limited To)
• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the concept of Genevieve's and standard drink recipes
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change
• Wash and sterilize glassware
• Prepare garnishes for drinks
• Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner
• Clear and reset bar area
• Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar
• Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to manager
• Assist with the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
Qualifications
• Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
• Basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
• Great organizational skills for dealing with diverse duties and staff.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Pleasant, polite manner for dealing with public as well as staff.
