Eupepsia Wellness Resort is a wellness sanctuary nestled on 256 acres of farm and woodland in Bland, Virginia. The resort is designed to help people reconnect with themselves and align with nature. With a foundation based on Ayurveda science and philosophy, our personalized retreats combine advanced health screenings with traditional and progressive therapies. Guests have access to farm-to-table nutrition, a high-end wellness spa, a functional training gym, and beautiful outdoor spaces to immerse themselves in nature.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef. The Sous Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring the highest quality of food production and presentation, creating menu items, and supervising the kitchen staff. The Sous Chef will collaborate with the Health and Wellness team to develop menus that align with the Ayurveda principles, incorporate seasonal and local ingredients, and are in line with the vision of the resort.
Qualifications
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience working in a high-end restaurant or resort kitchen
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Experience in menu planning and recipe development
• Familiarity with traditional and modern cooking techniques and ingredients
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Health and Wellness team and the kitchen staff
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious, healthy, and visually appealing dishes
