Cooks
If you have a passion for cooking, Bridgeworks has a great opportunity for a first shift (9am to 3pm, with weekend availability) cook.
• Requirements:
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
• Set up workstations with all the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. Monitor sanitation procedures for daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
• Monitor all hot and cold temperature logs daily.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check quality of ingredients
• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up the station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
The pay is $15.00 an hour and is paid out on a weekly basis.
• Covid vaccinated is preferred.
