About This Role
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is an important member of the healthcare team, responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care by gathering information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses. They work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and perform activities that align with their education and competencies. The Certified Medical Assistant must adhere to established policies and procedures while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
What You Bring To The Table
Education
• Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
Experience
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
• Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if certification is required by the State or the facility.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required .
What You Will Do
• Assist Registered Nurses ( RN s) and other staff in delivering patient care according to policies and procedures.
• Participate in gathering patient information and verifying medications.
• Make appropriate referrals and assist healthcare practitioners as assigned.
• Adhere to infection control techniques and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment and attend mandatory staff meetings/training.
