Position Overview
We are in search of an accomplished Furniture Retail Store Manager with a proven track record in retail management, preferably within the furniture or home furnishings industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our retail store's operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team and contribute to the continued success of our business.
Responsibilities
• **Leadership:** Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales associates, ensuring they provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
• **Sales Management:** Monitor sales performance, set sales goals, and develop strategies to achieve and exceed targets.
• **Inventory Control:** Oversee inventory management, including ordering, restocking, and ensuring accurate product displays.
• **Customer Experience:** Ensure a positive shopping experience for customers by maintaining a welcoming and organized store environment.
• **Visual Merchandising:** Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create appealing product displays and store layouts.
• **Staff Training:** Conduct training sessions to enhance product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques among staff.
• **Budget Management:** Monitor store expenses, including labor costs, and work within budget constraints.
• **Vendor Relations:** Establish and maintain relationships with furniture suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
• **Performance Reporting:** Provide regular reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators to senior management.
• **Loss Prevention:** Implement loss prevention strategies and ensure the security of the store and its assets.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of retail management experience, with a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales goals.
• Strong knowledge of furniture or home furnishings is a significant advantage.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and visual merchandising.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of retail software and point-of-sale systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
