Job Description
Function
To inspect, test, troubleshoot and make electrical repairs to plant equipment and process. Maintain building and equipment interior and exterior, including process and auxiliary equipment. Analyze, troubleshoot, install, repair, rebuild, adjust, and replace electrical equipment such as, but not limited to, motors, inverters, drives, controllers, lighting, heaters, PLC, computers, printers, communication, and control devices.

Mon through Fri 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Duties
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and or ability required.
Responsible for all electrical and controls maintenance to facility, process, and auxiliary equipment
Maintain all plant PMs, Calibrations, and Work orders as relates to the Electrical Department.
Responsible for repair and replacement of lighting both internal and external
Responsible for the maintenance, programming, replacement, and upgrading of all PLC, VFD, VME, I/O, control panel components and communication/network systems.
Use the proper software and computers to diagnose, repair, and or replace control system components.
Responsible for the plant computer, Network, Printer, and barcode systems
Maintain the ISO requirements for plant operations, to include performing routine and non-routine calibrations.
Coordinate with outside vendors to manage electrical component repair(s) and overhaul(s)
Assist Other Departments And Train Other Employees As Required.
Follow proper flag procedures.
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
Purchase supplies and assist with contractor maintenance requirements and calibrations.
Support all plant shutdown initiatives, by coordinating, setting priorities, to include ordering and planning to have supplies available.
Support plant spill prevention team
Other duties deemed necessary by the Maintenance Manager.
Ability to comply with the Maintenance On-Call Policy
Computer and digital control system knowledge and communication(s)
Problem solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to promote and follow plant and department policies and procedures.
Purchase supplies and assist with contractor maintenance requirements.
Support all plant shutdown initiatives, by coordinating, prioritizing ordering, and planning, to ensure supplies and resources are available.
Other duties deemed necessary by Maintenance or Department Manager(s)
Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe administrator, maintain OSHA and requirements and housekeeping standards.
Support plant spill prevention team
Understand the control and SCADA software for the plant systems: to support plant operations.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Pass on reading, mechanical, and electrical tests.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and diagrams.
Advanced degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Electronics technology
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Preferred Criteria
Previous experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment
Proven ability with RS Logix, Wonderware, and Device net applications
Ability to board level troubleshoot components.
Ability to repair and build PCs.
