MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II

SMITH GAP LANDFILL
The Roanoke Valley Resource Authority is seeking a qualified Motor Equipment Operator II. Work full time outdoors surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife.  Operate heavy earth-moving construction and motorized equipment such as dump trucks, dozers, walking floor trailers, compactors, yard dog and mowers in the solid waste disposal operations at Smith Gap Landfill located at 8484 Bradshaw Road, Salem, Virginia.  This position also includes picking up trash and working occasionally on Saturdays.
Education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Possession of a valid driver’s license (no negative points) is required. Subject to a complete criminal background check and physical to include drug screening.  Excellent Benefits.
Annual Salary to Start: $39,520 - $44,422.50 commensurate upon experience.
