Operational Sourcing Specialist (Entry Level)

The is an entry level career opportunity on BI's Sourcing team. You will be responsible for performing Operational Sourcing activities in a very autonomous independent manner within the assigned categories in accordance with Category Strategies/Sourcing Cards that have been developed by Global Category Managers. Duties & Responsibilities
• Run RFx Process including the selection of the right template, in line with Sourcing Card instructions.
• Monitor responses, consolidate and analyze replies to select sources of supply.
• Award RFx, and/or inform non-selected suppliers, document and file RFx Results (including SDD and saving).
• Negotiate and manage contracts in-line with Sourcing Card instructions.
• Create and execute CorA contracts based on available templates and distribute copy of signed contracts and/or CorA number to all relevant parties including Business Partner (BP) and Category Manager (CM).
• Refine scope of supply with BP (if required).
• Partner with Bi's Legal team where needed.
• Verify final offer reflects all requirements requested by BP and/or CM.
• Update contracts triggered by new legal/compliance or commercial requirements.
• Monitor contract fulfillment and initiate corrective measures in case of deviations.
• Prepare Executive summary and/or justification note if required.
• Gather internal and external signatures and track signing process.
• Handle queries / demands coming from BPs or suppliers.
• Create and maintain meaningful business relationships with suppliers.
• Support BPs with all relevant information to start procurement process.
• Provide sourcing support for assigned categories in accordance with existing sourcing strategy covered in Sourcing card, policies and procedures by establishing a close collaboration with business and operational partners.
• Serve as interface to Procurement and Accounts Payable teams.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a Business major; Supply Chain, Economics, Purchasing, or Procurement is preferred
• 0 to 4 (0-4) years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills required
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• SAP experience preferred
• Contract development, Sourcing approach implementation; eSourcing (weBuy); Reverse/e-auctions; Procure-to-pay (p2p) knowledge preferred.
