Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Summary:
*
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care given to inpatients and outpatients to patients of all age populations at Decatur County Memorial Hospital requiring respiratory therapy services. Employee will provide support and clinical assistance with Cardiac Stress Testing, receptionist and secretarial duties in the Cardiac Care unit.

Work Schedule:

Must be able to work non-standard hours, sometimes in excess of 40 hours per week. Staffing hours and paid "on-call" hours are required to support the department.

Additional Information
SKILLS & ABILITIES * Education * Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). * Experience * Two to Three Years’ Experience * Supervision experience * Computer Skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility. * Knowledge of the computer system to assist with maintaining an electronic medical record. * Certificates & Licenses * Minimum of CRT required. RRT preferred. Current BLS required through approved provider upon hire; NRP, PALS, ACLS certifications required within orientation. Current Respiratory Therapy Licensure through State of Indiana. * Other Requirements * This position requires frequent sitting and use of hands and fingers.
