Job Summary
Creature Comforts Brewing Company is seeking a dynamic and passionate Community & Culture Manager to lead our efforts in fostering a strong internal culture, coordinating internal communications, and overseeing several impactful community initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will play a visible and pivotal role in ensuring that we are authentically living the story that we communicate outside the company walls, applying both our financial and human capital to their greatest effect.
Responsibilities
Cultural Programming:
• Own and champion the Creature Comforts brand story, ensuring that all team members—existing and incoming—are well-versed in the company's purpose, mission, and values.
• Organize and lead all cultural programs, including employee engagement activities, social gatherings, workshops, and all-staff meetings that foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
• Collaborate with HR to refresh the onboarding/inboarding process, ensuring new team members are immersed in the company's culture from day one.
Community Impact Initiatives
• Lead the development, design, and production of the Annual Impact Report.
• Oversee the Get Comfortable 3rd grade literacy initiative, serving as the program’s primary point-of-contact and coordinating all program events and stakeholder meetings.
• Initiate and deepen relationships with local agencies, partners, funders, and stakeholders in support of this literacy initiative.
• Organize and lead a minimum of 12 annual ‘Serve Our City’ projects, aligning the company with charitable causes and community service opportunities.
• Lead the Community Impact Ambassador team, fostering a culture of service and community engagement within Creature Comforts and beyond.
• Recognize and honor outstanding community contributions by implementing the Eudaimonia Award recognition program.
• Coordinate with Human Resources on Volunteer Time Off policy and usage.
• Maintain all internal databases pertaining to our 3 Community Impact Programs.
• Research best practices in Employee Volunteer Programs.
Internal Communications
• Collaborate with the marketing team to produce engaging content that showcases our brand's impact, values, partnerships, and activities that will resonate within our company culture.
• Develop and implement creative internal communication strategies, leveraging our tools—e.g., the internal website, newsletter, and Slack—to consistently share brand stories, messaging, and updates from across the company.
• Analyze digital asset performance and collaborate with internal partners to continually improve engagement metrics.
• Ensure consistency in brand messaging and story across all internal communications, maintaining an accurate reflection of the company's heart and mission.
Community Relations
• Serve as a liaison between Creature Comforts Brewing Company and our surrounding communities, maintaining a positive and mutually beneficial relationship.
• Represent the company at community events, meetings, and engagements, showcasing our commitment to social responsibility and community support.
• Collaborate with external partners, local leaders, and agencies to drive forward community impact initiatives and support causes that align with our brand values.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, community development, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), community development, donor relations, internal communications, or a related role.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful community impact initiatives and storytelling campaigns. A project manager par excellence.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration.
• Superb communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage and inspire both internal and external stakeholders. A born networker.
• A passion for building strong communities and making a positive impact in the world.
• Knowledge of the craft brewing industry, or related sectors, is a plus.
