Senior Community / Transportation Planner
Wilson & Company is seeking a Senior Community/Transportation Planner to join our national planning team. The position is located in either our Kansas City, MO, Salina, KS or Springfield, MO offices. This individual will work closely with our planning and engineering staff in conducting comprehensive plans, economic development studies, corridor and area studies, scoping/feasibility studies, multimodal planning evaluations, supporting design efforts, safety analyses, transportation master plans, and other miscellaneous public studies.
Required Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public presentation development and delivery is required.
• Strong analytic and computer skills, including GIS, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
• Strong graphic sense including skills in Adobe Creative Suite.
Required Experience
• BA or BS in planning, engineering, or related field of study, or MS in planning or related field of study.
• 5 to 10 years of experience working on community/transportation planning and/or (or MS degree with 3 to 8 years of experience).
• Demonstrated experience in developing formatted technical reports, supporting analysis, graphics, tables, etc…
• Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Suite and ArcGIS.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience applying and developing community planning/transportation planning/engineering concepts.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects or project tasks.
• Must be able to work collaboratively and independently to successfully conduct and develop studies and plans.
Required Credentials
• Professional certification of AICP, PE, AIA or LA.
Annual Salary range: $56,000.00 - $98,000.00
